CWFAH Driving Readiness Session (Ages 16–17) Building confident, responsible, and safety‑minded young drivers Purpose of the Session This session helps teens understand the responsibilities of driving, develop safe habits, and prepare for permit or license requirements. It is not a behind‑the‑wheel driving class—it's a structured readiness and safety workshop designed to support youth before they get on the road. What Youth Will Learn Driving Safety Foundations Understanding road signs and traffic signals Safe following distance and speed awareness How distractions (phones, music, friends) impact reaction time Seatbelt and passenger safety expectations Missouri Permit & License Requirements Age requirements Required documents Written test overview Behind‑the‑wheel practice expectations Parent/guardian responsibilities Real‑Life Scenarios & Decision‑Making What to do during a traffic stop How to handle emergencies (flat tire, engine light, weather) Safe choices around peer pressure, speeding, and risky driving Emotional Readiness & Responsibility Managing nerves and confidence Respecting the privilege of driving Understanding consequences and accountability Session Format Duration: 60–90 minutes Setting: CWFAH safe learning environment Facilitators: CWFAH staff and approved volunteers Materials Provided: Teen Driving Readiness Packet Missouri Permit Study Guide Safety & Emergency Checklist Expectations for Youth Arrive on time Participate in discussions and activities Show respect for peers and instructors Ask questions and engage in real‑life scenarios Parent/Guardian Notes This session supports, but does not replace, formal driver’s education Parents/guardians are encouraged to review materials with their teen Follow‑up resources will be provided for at‑home practice

Cancellation Policy

🌟 Booking Policy for Appointments & Sessions Ensuring smooth scheduling and respectful use of time ✨ Scheduling Appointments All appointments must be booked in advance through our approved scheduling system, phone, or email. Sessions are confirmed only after you receive a confirmation message from our team. Walk‑ins are not guaranteed and will be accommodated only if staff availability allows. ✨ Arrival & Check‑In Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow time for check‑in. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session to avoid impacting the next appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may need to be rescheduled. ✨ Cancellations & Rescheduling Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be marked as a “late cancellation.” Repeated late cancellations or no‑shows may affect future booking privileges. To reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible so we can offer the slot to another family. ✨ No‑Show Policy A “no‑show” is defined as missing an appointment without prior notice. After two no‑shows, future appointments may require supervisor approval. If transportation or emergencies arise, please notify us as soon as possible. ✨ Youth Safety & Supervision A parent/guardian must accompany minors unless prior arrangements have been approved. Youth must be picked up promptly at the end of their session. Staff may not transport youth unless scheduled through the organization’s transportation procedures. ✨ Session Expectations Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. Please bring any required forms, materials, or documents. Disruptive behavior or policy violations may result in the session ending early. ✨ Staff Availability Appointment availability may vary based on program schedules, events, and staffing. We reserve the right to adjust or reschedule appointments when necessary, with notice provided. ✨ Communication All appointment reminders will be sent via email, text, or phone, depending on your preference. Please ensure your contact information is up to date. For Youth Ages 16–17 – Driving Readiness & Safety Programs Purpose of the Policy This policy ensures that all youth participating in CWFAH driving‑related sessions are safe, supervised, and supported. CWFAH’s Driving Readiness Session is educational only and does not include operating a vehicle. No Behind‑the‑Wheel Driving Youth will not drive on-site
